The workings

TikTok Shop takes a platform commission on the sale, a per-order fee, and — if you use creators, which is the point of the platform — an affiliate commission on top. Refund admin takes its slice too. The percentages look gentler than Amazon's until the affiliate line lands; then they are usually not.

The affiliate rate is a real commercial decision, not a setting. Set it high and creators push your product; set it low and the algorithm meets your content with silence. Model both ends here before you promise anyone a margin.
